School = Blah!

School starts next week and I’ve got to say that I’m not really thrilled about it. I’m not looking forward to the homework, the late nights, the stress, the long hours at work, and the whole not getting to see my wife thing. That being said, there are some things that I’m looking forward to this semester. The first is that I’m done with all of my Russian classes so I get to focus on my major this time around and that’s pretty cool. Also, the scheduling for the two classes that I have on campus worked out perfectly. They are one right after the other and they are taught in the same room. Pretty cool, no? However, I know the one thing that is going to decide whether this semester turns out to be a good one or ends up becoming my own personal hell is my ability to stay on top of the homework. So as I watch my last few days of freedom slip through my fingers, wish me luck. Here’s hoping that I not only survive, but also have fun. Yeah, right!

Holy Crap!

Sorry that this post is kinda late, but I wanted to tell you all about the soccer game. When I first started putting this team together, I just wanted to find enough people to play. I didn’t care at all about skill level, just so long as they showed up to the games. Well, after our game on Wednesday, I was blown away. Our team is awesome! We won 19 to 5! I was hoping that we were going to have a team that could compete, but I had no idea that we would be this good. I’m sure that Ultimate Indoor is going to pair us up with some more difficult teams, but after what I saw on Wednesday, I think that we’re a force to be reckoned with.

Indoor Soccer

Indoor soccer starts tonight and I’m so excited. It feels like for ever since I last played. I must say that it’s been difficult finding enough people to play, but we were able to pull it off. I feel like we’ve been able to put together a pretty good team. I’m also very excited because this will be the first time that my daughter will get to see me play. Now, I know that she won’t have any idea as to what’s going on, but I still want to play well for her. My hope is that if she grows up watching me play, then she’ll want to play too. How fun would it be if I could be her coach? I know I’m getting a little ahead of myself, but I don’t care. It’s still fun to dream about. I’ll let you all know how the game goes tonight. Wish me luck!

I’m going to try to post one picture a week so as to encourage me to keep shooting. So enjoy this week’s installment.

This is a picture of Kalianna two days after she was born. I’ve never seen anything more beautiful in all my life. When I look at the picture, I want to cry.

You made it!
